Dealing with Early Signs of Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a serious matter. It is a stage in a woman’s life where she needs to be extra careful regarding her lifestyle. She should watch what and how much she eats, how intense and frequent her physical activities are, and how she must deal with all the stresses in her life. If you are wondering if you are pregnant, it is best to purchase a pregnancy test kit or pay a visit to your trusted ob-gyn. Along with your early stage of pregnancy are subtle signs like fatigue, food aversion, and vomiting. Here are a few ways on how to deal with them.

Women who are pregnant ought to experience extreme fatigue without any explainable reason. It is one of the most common signs of early pregnancy. In case you are suspecting that you are pregnant, do not try to deal with your fatigue through caffeine intake. Instead, listen to your body. Let it take it easy and give it the rest it demands and deserves.

Pregnant women also tend to avert from certain kinds of food. There would be something wrong when you open the refrigerator and smell a certain kind of food you used to be okay with but start to disgust, or maybe you would drop by a food kiosk and you would refuse to eat something you loved eating before. Many women report such food aversions as an early sign of pregnancy. Since these foods do not make you feel well, the best thing to do is to get rid of the food you do not want to eat.

Nausea and vomiting are also early signs of pregnancy. This is due to the rising hormones during pregnancy. The good news is that nausea and vomiting would soon pass about after nineteen weeks. Morning sickness is also actually a good sign because it indicates growing pregnancy. Your eating patterns make a difference as well. Do not let your tummy get empty. Keep a pack of crackers by your bedside before going to bed and eat them as you wake up. It is also highly suggested that you eat in small servings but frequently. Lemon and peppermint candies are also good for your nausea and vomiting problems. Prenatal supplements may also cause nausea and vomiting. Do not take you vitamins if you are hungry. If your vomiting is persistent and out of control, consult your doctor.

Breast swelling and tenderness are also on the list. The best thing to do is get a better bra. Sports bras are recommended for better support.

Frequent peeing is also another sign. There is no way to get rid of it. But you must go to the bathroom before going to bed to avoid having to get up in the middle of the night just to pee.

Shortness of breath may also occur in the first months and even all throughout the pregnancy. But if your shortness of breath gives you a sudden shortness of breath not related to exercise, when your breathing becomes painful, and when your feeling of breathlessness is worse when you are lying down, it is best to consult with your doctor.
