- Honeydew-Kiwifruit Smoothie
Get rid of all the unwanted calories and sugars in this healthy yet oh-so yummy all-fruit smoothie. Moreover, you would have an abundant flow of vitamin C and potassium tokeep those bones and teeth in the best shape.
For this power drink, prepare the following ingredients: two cups of cubed honeydew, a small peeled, cored, and cut up Granny Smith apple, a peeled and cut up kiwifruit, two to three tablespoons of sugar, a tablespoon of lemon juice, a cup of ice cubes, and honeydew and/pr kiwifruit slices. This recipe is good for three servings.
First, combine the honeydew, apple, kiwifruit, sugar, and lemon juice in a blender. Cover and blend until the mixture is already smooth. Add in the ice cubes. Again, cover and blend. Do so until the ice cubes are already crushed and the mixture turns slushy. Pour into three glasses and garnish with additional honeydew and/or kiwifruit slices only if you prefer to. Serve right away.
- Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie
Blend this for a healthy breakfast you could easily take with you.
This recipe makes a single serving. Prepare the following: ten ounces of skim milk or plain soy milk, a tablespoon of natural peanut butter, and a medium banana.
Just put all the ingredients into the blender and blend until the mixture is already smooth. For a thicker consistency, you may add six ice cubes.
- Banana and Kiwi Smoothie
The kiwi is small but terrible. It is jam-packed with antioxidants and vitamin C thus keeping the skin firm, promoting healthy bones and teeth, and protecting you from cancer and heart disease. And add on the fruit that keeps the doctor away- banana na na na.
This recipe is good for two servings. Prepare a peeled and cut into chunks banana, a peeled and sliced kiwifruit which makes about a half cup, a cup of low-fat yogurt, a half cup of ice cubes, and two tablespoons of maple syrup only if you want to.
Combine all the fruits, yogurt, ice, and syrup in a blender. Blend until the mixture is already smooth. Divide mixture into two glasses and serve right away.
- Strawberry, Banana, and Flax Smoothie
To cut the risk of heart disease, cancer, and depression, be sure to get enough of your omega-3. If you are not so much into fish, you must then incorporate flaxseeds into your daily diet.
This recipe makes a single serving. Prepare the half of a medium banana, a half cup of frozen unsweetened strawberries, one and a half cups of skim milk or light soy milk, and two tablespoons of ground flaxseed.
How to do this? It is simple. Just blend all the ingredients together, and, viola, you have your Strawberry, Banana, and Flax Smoothie!
