Another year, another batch of movies to be laid down on the world’s feet. But for the female population, the young teenage girls, the lovely ladies, the working chicks, the party-rocking gals, the loving mothers, and the timeless beauties, what must we look out for this year?
For endless screams and terror, we have Guillermo del Toro’s Mama. It’s kind of recommended for dates so that you’ll experience the protective arms of your lover. Or it can simply be just about the thrill and horror. It will be nice to give it a try.
We also have the long-awaited sequel to Monters, Inc. this year, Monsters University. The first instalment was a massive success that touched the hearts and souls not only of its young viewers but also of the adults. Hopefully, Monsters University would not disappoint. Also, How to Train Your Dragon 2 will soon be out in the theatres this year. Adults may fall in love with Monsters University and How to Train Your Dragon 2, but kids will surely cherish them for the rest of their lives.
If you are looking for a fairly unique picture this year, better watch out for Warm Bodies. The usual love story is given a massive twist when a zombie and a human fall in love. Not only this is an addition to the growing popularity of zombies over the past few years, it also involves romance and emotions.
2013 appears to be a year of sequels as The Hunger Games Trilogy’s second instalment also comes out this year. Catching Fire, arguably the most exciting and thrilling instalment in the trilogy, will be out on November and The Hunger Games fans cannot but be excited and hopeful for a kickass movie treat. Our heroine, Katniss, will continue on her battle against the Capitol in the arena for the second time. But better get your tickets early for this will surely attract lots of viewers.
Another batch of sequels awaits as the cutesy-cute minions of Despicable Me returns on the big screen as well as Smurfs. Also, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs releases its second instalment this year. The animated films are growing and developing greatly over the years. Who wouldn’t love animated movies?
Also, as Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy reached its conclusion last 2012 with the epic The Dark Knight Rises, he begins another superhero journey with his Man of Steel. Great expectations precede this Superman film as Nolan’s Batman Trilogy was a huge success.
This will also be a year for two adaptations of the classic Wizard of Oz. One of them is Walt Disney’s Oz, The Great and Powerful. This is predicted to earn much more than their Alice in Wonderland which is directed by Tim Burton. The other one is a musical with the title Dorothy of Oz. It will be a battle of which is the better Oz film, or rather if any of them can outshine the timeless classic Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland.
2013 surely is going to be a wonderful year. Why not spend it with movies?
