This is how they normally depend themselves of being fat. This is one proof of the existence of obesity paradox. Recent studies have shown that obese people with chronic illness have a higher chance of survival than people with normal body weight. This finding was called the OBESITY PARADOX. However, as it is a paradox, it is a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true. So before you get hold of extra bites of your favorite food, well examine what obesity is all about.

Obese people have excess body fat. Overweight people have excess body weight (weight includes bone, fat, and muscle. In general, women have more body fat than men do. With that said, women have a higher tendency of becoming obese than men. Women with more than 30 percent body fat and men with more than 25 percent body fat would be considered obese.
In the United States, obesity is already an epidemic as classified by the Center of Disease Control. Almost 65 percent of Americans falls on the overweight and obese category based on their BMI. Right now, obesity costs Americans more than $117 billion annually in health care. If you are obese, you have a 50 to 100 percent increased risk of premature death than someone of normal weight. Obesity is a risk factor in other conditions, like high blood pressure, heart disease and type-2 diabetes. Though you may not die first by the time the whole world is suffering in food scarcity, but you might end up dying before that time actually comes. I strongly believe that making your BMI fall on the normal weight is better. So you better start losing that excess fat and start living fit and healthy.
