The Benefits of Eating Nuts

We must never underestimate the power of nuts in our body. Even though nuts are small, still they are packed with many vitamins and minerals that will be a great help in achieving a healthy body. There are so many kinds of nuts, and each of these kinds has their own set of vitamins and minerals that is needed in our body. Just munch a handful of nuts everyday and you will be doing good in keeping your body healthy, active and fit. Nuts are packed with many substances that is helpful in keeping our body healthy like antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and is also rich in protein and energy to power-up our day.

There are so many benefits that eating nuts can give us. Aside from the fact that it was a natural brain booster, it is also known for the numerous help it can give in our body. There are so many kinds of nuts that you can choose from, and knowing that there are so many nuts in our option, you will have a greater chance of including nuts in your daily diet.

Walnuts. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which is helpful in maintaining a healthy heart. it is rich in anti-oxidants like the melatonin, vitamin E, carotenoids, and poly-phenolic compounds which is essential in preventing the effects of aging and reduces chances of cancer, and effective against neurological diseases.

Almonds. Are nuts rich in dietary fibers, vitamins, and minerals and packed with numerous health promoting phyto-chemicals, proven to be effective against. It is also rich in unsaturated fatty acids which lower bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol levels which is good for the heart and the blood. It is also a great alternative to wheat for people who have wheat food allergy and celiac disease as it is gluten-free.

Chestnuts. These are nuts widely available in the cold seasons of the northern hemisphere like in China and in North America. Chestnuts are rich in dietary fibers which lowers the blood cholesterol and limits the absorption of cholesterol in the intestines. It is also an excellent source of Vitamin C which is essential for matrix formation of teeth, and reinforces bones.

Hazelnuts. Hazelnuts are rich in dietary fibers and energy which is essential for optimum health, aside from that it has vitamin E which is a great antioxidant that protects our skin from harmful free radicals. It has also a lot of minerals like Iron which is essential in preventing anaemia. It is also has an excellent astringent property which protects the skin from dryness.

Peanuts. Maybe the most popular and common of all the nuts, but many have not know that peanuts are rich in resveratrol, an antioxidant,  which is discovered to be protective against cancer, heart diseases, neuro-degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s Disease, and viral infections. It is also rich in folates which promote healthy brain and easy blood flow in the brain.

Nuts have so many to give us. They simply have it all, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and many more. Start eating nuts, make it a habit and you will see that you will achieve a better you with the help of this tiny munchies. Start the nutty habit within you!!!
