Remember, there is no such thing as a perfect workout, only a perfect workout for you.

If you are a music lover, maybe you would enjoy dancing. You could try hip-hop, pole dancing, belly dancing, zumba, tango, polka, or even tap dance. Most dances are good cardio workouts. Lively and upbeat dances could meet all your exercising needs even in just an hour. You could try signing up for a dance class or just stay at home, turn on the radio or your preferred music player, and dance your heart out.

If you are always stuck with your game controller, why not get up and involve yourself with moving in real life. All those sports games on your game console could be played in reality, too. You could go boxing, playing tennis, basketball, or badminton for real. If you are always playing combat games, you may also try mixed martial arts or taekwondo or karate. There too many things to choose from.

If you are the kind of person who always goes the extra mile, exceeds what is expected and required of her, maybe running suits you best. As an exercise, running is one good cardio workout and its benefits are way too many that it probably is one of the best forms of exercise ever. If you love stunts and daredevil undertakings, skateboarding is the physical activity for you. It tones the abs, improves balance, and helps you get outside the house. Just make sure that you are safe- wear your helmet and pads, and do not do life-threatening tricks. Of course you would not be able to half-pipe tricks early on. Practice is the key.

If you are a nature-loving gal, there also exercises for you. You may try hiking, fishing or canoeing.  They are a chance to get physically fit, marvel at the wonders of nature, breathe in fresh air, relax, and get away from the many stresses of the city.

If you want to be able to discipline and control yourself, you better sign up for a martial arts class. Martial arts like taekwondo and aikido, aside from building strong muscles and improving your reaction time, helps you become more patient and helps you keep a cool head. Moreover, they are also a great form of self-defense.

If you are the kind of person who would rather stay home and read books, maybe you would want to purchase audio books and get physically active. Listen to them while taking a walk outside or on your treadmill.
