Do you love seeing movies? Well, I do. I really, really do. And I see movies a lot. And if you do, too, or even if you only watch on certain occasions, I bet you would always go looking for something to fill you up while being entertained. And I think ninety nine percent of those who have read my previous statement would agree. With the remaining one percent, what is wrong with you? Kidding aside, let us be well aware on what among the common movie snacks would be the best choice with regards to our health care and weight management.

When we say movie snack, the first that comes to mind is no other than popcorn, right? But another snack that is just as popular or almost as popular if not really as popular would be your nachos with cheese. Yum! But what would be the better choice with regards to staying fit and healthy? Well, both choices are not that beneficial in terms of nutrition, but since you are having fun and letting yourself savor the deliciousness, go for the traditional favorite- popcorn. All you could get from nachos with cheese are bunches and bunches of trans fat. Just go for the popcorn without the fake butter coating and you would be having a serving of your whole grain.

For hotdog fans, which is better- the dog in the bun or the dog on stick? Since both hotdog sandwich and corndog have nothing really good to offer, you may opt for the corndog. The coating of the corndog is made from corn so it would be providing you with whole grain goodness.

For your beverage, must you go for sweet iced tea or lemonade? Just go for the sweet iced tea. Lemonade has nothing to offer but sugar. Meanwhile, sweet iced tea contains antioxidants because of the tea. Better yet, go for unsweetened iced tea.

If you are looking for something heavy to eat, you would more likely be contemplating whether to order chicken wings or pizza. Tough choice, isn’t it? Go for the pizza, honey. Pizza is the slightly better choice because of its veggie toppings and a tiny bit of calcium. But better not have pepperoni or sausage pizza because they are full of saturated fat, sodium, and preservatives.

If you are looking for drinks that are rather sweet, would you rather have a mocha frapuccino from your favorite coffee shop or a Cherry Icee? We give our vote to the mocha frapuccino. Cherry Icee is nothing but empty calories. Mocha frapuccino, on the other hand, gives calcium, protein, antioxidants, and fewer calories.

For those who want to have fun with a little alcohol, beer or wine? We would certainly rather for a glass of wine. Yes, both contain antioxidants to help you fight free radical damages to the body. But a bottle of beer is sure to make you fatter.

Yes, going to the movies is all about fun and entertainment. And comes along is the food we choose to eat. But at the end of the day, we could always enjoy without having to put our health in so much peril.
